Hayat Selim is a cross-over cinematic vocalist, known for bringing distinctive and evocative vocals to multimedia projects. Her work features prominently in titles such as Age of Empires IV, Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, Universal Pictures’ The Forgiven, Witte Wieven, Chivalry II, and most recently as the Middle Eastern soloist in the 21st-century rendition of The Great Passion Play, premiering in May 2025 in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas.
She was the soloist in a grand performance of Karl Jenkins’ Stabat Mater, held at St David’s Cathedral in Wales in 2023.
Hayat is the featured artist on Sonuscore’s Ethnic Vocal Phrases – by Hayat Selim.
Her vocal repertoire spans a wide range of styles, including powerful tribal belting reminiscent of Dune, ethereal atmospheric head voice in the vein of Enya, as well as Nordic, Middle Eastern, pop, musical theatre, and operatic styles. She describes her vocal timbre as a contralto with the flexibility to perform in the soprano register.
Hayat earned her Master’s degree in Composition for Screen from the Royal College of Music, graduating in 2019.
